Philippe Vasset

French novelist Philippe Vasset is 30 years old. He edits the investigative newsletter Africa Energy Intelligence, based in Paris. He worked as a corporate detective in the US before becoming a journalist and, in 1993, won the prize of Best Young Writer awarded by the French daily Le Monde. Following his debut ScriptGenerator, he has already written a second novel.

''This is a terrific little book, it'll make you laugh and think and dream: a story about a scam to sell stories like commodities - cocoa, copper and barley. If Scriptgenerator is ever licensed, the world will have fewer agents. Is that a good thing?'' David Miller, literary agent, on Philippe Vasset's first novel.
