Ib Michael

Danish writer Ib Michael, born 1945, has written poems, travel books, short stories and, first and foremost, novels, which have garnered him a huge audience both in Denmark and abroad. His novel Prince was published in English in 2001 to great critical acclaim, and his latest book Grill is a highly topical literary thriller about war, love and ethnic troubles (Glydendal 2005). Ib is a keen sailor and has travelled extensively throughout the world, residing in Copehagen.
''Stunning ... Prince is a tale of love that survives death, and of magical discoveries made in childhood.'' Deloris Tarzan Ament in The Seattle Times.
''He possesses a linguistic wealth that far surpasses most of his fellow Danish writers. And he knows how to screw a story together, so it forces the reader along over dramatic mountain passes, through snake-ridden jungles and into the even greater dangers lurking in the big city.'' Berlingske Tidende.
